Please be advised that the NLTA has reached a tentative agreement in the current round of negotiations. The following are details of meetings being scheduled during January and February that will be of interest to teachers:

Meetings re the Tentative Agreement

January 26
Joint Council meeting during which branch presidents will receive details on the tentative agreement, make a recommendation to the membership on acceptance or rejection of the tentative agreement, and approve the wording of the ballot to the membership.

January 28 – February 8
Distribution of the tentative agreement to teachers and branch meetings scheduled throughout the province. Teachers should attend the branch meeting taking place in their area. As soon as specific branch meeting dates are finalized, information will be sent to all members of the branch.

February 26
Vote by teachers on the tentative agreement.
