Public Consultations on Junior Kindergarten Now Open
In response to recommendations from the report of the Premier’s Task Force on Improving Educational Outcomes, the provincial government is exploring the introduction of Junior Kindergarten programming. A public consultation process was launched on March 25, including an online questionnaire that can be accessed at https://www.engagenl.ca/engagement-initiatives/junior-kindergarten-development-guiding-document-and-phased-implementation.
The Association is urging all teachers and administrators to take the time to provide feedback by completing the questionnaire. It is important that education is viewed as an investment and that new initiatives and programming be properly funded and resourced.
In order to complete the questionnaire, individuals are required to register with Engage NL or login if previously registered. The login information is being collected to obtain your views only and you are not asked to include your name or other information that can identify you.
