The NLESD has recently sent out via email, through school principals, the information and application package for the payout of severance pay, as per the changes to Article 33 in the new Provincial Collective Agreement. All of the relevant information is attached to the email that principals received to forward on to teachers. However, we are advised that teachers will also be able to access all of the information and forms through the NLESD website in the “Staff Room” section, under “Staff Resources”.
The purpose of this email is to ensure that all teachers are aware of this and know where to access the information as there are some timeframes and deadlines involved.
Information on where to direct questions is contained in the information package, which includes a detailed “Frequently Asked Questions” document. However, teachers may also contact an Administrative Officer in Programs and Services for information/assistance at 726-3223 or 1-800-563-3599 or mail@nlta.nl.ca.
