Collective Agreements

The NLTA operates the Provincial Agreement, which includes negotiation and day-to-day administration of the agreement.

[Effective May 2, 2023, teachers who were previously covered by the Labrador West Collective Agreement are now included in the one provincial NLTA bargaining unit and subject to the Provincial Collective Agreement. While certain provisions of the prior Labrador West Collective Agreement may remain in effect for teachers previously covered by that Agreement, the Provincial Agreement applies to all NLTA members, province wide.]

The NLTA also represents members in negotiations and administration of the Labrador Benefits Agreement. This agreement is negotiated between several public sector unions and the Provincial Government and provides additional benefits to government employees working in Labrador.
